Pippins Goes Crimson!

Washington State has landed the commitment of El Cerrito (California) CB prospect Marcellus Pippins. Pippins, who was committed to Utah up until his visit to Washington State on January 18th, has accepted a grayshirt offer from the Cougar coaching staff. Pippins will delay his enrollment at Washington State until January 2014 and his scholarship will count towards the 2014 recruiting class.

Pippins was deciding between WSU, Utah and Nevada yesterday and ultimately decided to side with Wazzu. Utah had also offered him a grayshirt opportunity.

Throughout his recruitment Pippins collected offers from UCLA, Utah, Boise State, Nevada, SDSU, UNLV and Utah State. He is rated a 86 overall by 247Sports and is ranked as the 65th best cornerback prospect in the nation.
